Thank you Suzanne! We loved our stay at your Connie’s Beach Cottage. The house was just what we were looking for – it was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The beach – which is beautiful – was easy to walk to – just a block away. The islands and Charleston are easy to find your way around – and everyone is so friendly. We will be going back!
Great place to stay! Beach was fabulous, just a short walk from the house. We loved walking the beach each morning and then spending the day exploring the island and Charleston. Can’t wait to go back!
Our stay at Connie’s Beach Cottage was just perfect. The cottage is very comfortable – outfitted with all the amenities of home and located just steps away from a beautiful beach which is easily accessed. The Island of Palms itself is a plus as a lovely residential community only a short drive from great restaurants and activities. Those seeking even more options of things to do and see will find nearby Charleston to be quite attractive, walkable, and full of interesting sights, shopping, and events.
We hope to be return visitors to the IoP and to Connie’s Beach Cottage.
Thank you Suzanne for making my friend;s b-day extra special. We had a girls weekend and the house was just perfect; close to the beach and close to the places we love to frequent: Poe’s Tavern, Hometown Barbeque and, of course, Charleston. Had her special birthday dinner at Mercado, which was excellent. Had never been there before. Otherwise, it was lazing on the beach with great conversation every day. Sad to leave, but we will be back.
Our family of 4 ( Mom, Dad, and 2 daughters in their 20’s, one of whom lives in the Charleston area) rented Connie’s Beach Cottage the first week of June 2014. What a fabulous week we had! A gentle, quiet location, under lovely shade, in a peaceful neighborhood. We walked to the incredible Isle of Palms beach (a quiet portion of it) for sunrise, sunset, and riding the waves for hours. Easy to walk there, go home for lunch, and go back later! We were blessed with superb weather to bike ride, rent a boat at the nearby marina, go to Shem Creek, Mt. Pleasant for an incredible boardwalk sunset walk, take in Charleston during the Spoletto Festival, numerous restaurants, the historical Heyward-Washington House tour, the Middleton Place plantation and grounds. Great grocery store close by; shopping galore, and best of all, time with family in this cozy, comfortable modest, no fuss home that kept us safe and happy all week! Thank you to Suzanne and family for this perfect find!
We stayed at Connie’s Beach Cottage in late September-early October after a hurricane impacted our initial vacation plans and what a silver lining it turned out to be! We found the cottage more than comfortable for our family of 4 (two adults plus two kids 2 and under) as well as a set of grandparents. The house itself had everything we needed to eat in most nights (two under 2, after all…) and plenty of space for us. The beach was a quick walk and was absolutely beautiful. We had great weather, easy access to everything we would need to get, and was convenient to Charleston should we need rainy day activities or night life. We ended up spending all our days on the beach since the weather was so nice but it was good to have options. We particularly enjoyed Republic Ice Cream further south on the island. Definitely a gem of a house as well as beach!
I should also add that Suzanne was wonderful to work with. She has a wealth of information about the area in terms of recommendations and checked in to make sure that all was well! Much better than having to work through a large rental company!!
